Weekly Sustainable Action Step: Think Before You Print!
1. Do your editing on-line.
2. Select only the pages or sections needed, double-sided.
3. Press "Print" once and check the Print Queue.
4. Cancel duplicate print jobs.
5. Reuse single-sided paper as scrap, and recycle when done.
A ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees, 7,000 gallons of water, and the equivalent of 380 gallons of fuel oil.

Weekly Sustainable Action Step: Bag It!
1. Collect cloth bags for use when shopping.
2. Keep bags at hand in your vehicle.
3. After shopping, launder bags as needed, and loop over your front doorhandle as a reminder to replace them in your car.
Paper or Plastic?
On the occasions when your cloth bags are left behind, you may be confronted with this chronic dilemma. The most sustainable choice may surprise you. Plastic requires less resources to produce, and is more easily recycled than paper. Plastic grocery bags may be reused in a variety of ways, including as liners for small garbage cans. Most grocery chains provide plastic bag recycling bins.
