eARTh: Environmental Art Contest
April 1, 2007: Deadline for art submissions. In celebration of Furman University’s Year of the Environment, we invite submissions that inform and inspire people about the natural world. Submissions may relate to conservation, nature, recycling or re-purposing of materials. The competition is open to all forms of art including photography, mixed media, installation, video, 3-D or 2-D work of any kind that relate to this theme. With the exception of installation and 3-D works, the size of the works may not exceed 32" in height or width. Three entries are permitted per individual.
The Exhibition will be May 1 -26 at the Furman University Library and Student Center. $900 in awards will be provided to works selected by the juror, Beth Maynor Young, an established conservation photographer. Awards will be announced and presented at the opening reception.
